The SEED School of Maryland is a public, college-preparatory boarding school that offers a unique educational opportunity for students across the state. We are seeking a highly qualified Math Teacher to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver high-quality lesson plans and curricula that meet national and school guidelines.
- Provide assessments and deliver feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Plan and instruct lessons on math topics, including Pre Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Statistics.
- Enforce classroom management and school administrative policies.
- Assess and accommodate students' learning needs and styles.
- Use technology to deliver lessons and educational materials.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Prepare students for standardized math and post-secondary entrance tests.
- Grade students' assignments, tests, and exams.
- Evaluate students' progress in math knowledge and skills.
- Select and requisition books, instructional aids, and supplies.
- Supervise daily and check homework, ensuring students' academic progress.
- Participate in faculty committees and sponsor student activities.
- Collaborate with administrators to develop evaluation methods.
- MSDE Certification in Math (preferred) or ability to obtain a conditional license.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Bachelor's Degree.
