At Genesis HealthCare, we are committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and compassionate care to our patients and residents. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team at the Wallingford Nursing & Rehab Center.

About the Role

The RN Supervisor will support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and effective nursing care, achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction. This role will involve leading, guiding, and directing the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shifts
  • Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, and coordinating with other departments
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff to provide safe, 24/7 nursing care
  • Participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation, and make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
  • Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care
  • One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity
