About the Role

Aldersgate is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Assistance Program Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the Student Assistance Program, providing supervision, administration, and monitoring of the program serving multiple school buildings in various school districts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative/Supervisory:
    • Supervise and support full-time and part-time Student Assistance Program Liaisons who provide individual and group school-based mental health services to students.
    • Provide consultation and training to Liaisons to enhance their clinical skills and ensure excellent services for students.
    • Assist with the hiring process, including screening, interviewing, and reference checks, to ensure adequate staffing at each school.
    • Orient and train new and returning Liaisons on procedures and documentation, including the use of client/parent satisfaction survey forms.
    • Complete annual employee evaluations for assigned staff members.
    • Schedule and conduct regular on-site school meetings, as needed, and conduct on-site supervision and status check-ins with staff and school administrators.
    • Monitor documentation to ensure compliance with funding requirements, including paper charts and documentation entered into BHWorks.
    • Collaborate with the supervisor and Office Administrator to ensure timely and accurate submission of weekly and monthly billing paperwork for each Liaison.
    • Ensure satisfaction surveys are sent to teachers, students, and parents as per contract expectations.
    • Maintain contact with school representatives and ensure Liaison schedules align with contracted needs.
    • Monitor the quality and timeliness of staff documentation, including individual and group notes, permission and release forms, and required satisfaction surveys.
    • Advocate with the county Mental Health Administrator as needed regarding MH-3 extensions and student crises.
    • Maintain statistical information for each school site and Liaison, providing reports as scheduled and requested.
    • Attend county-required meetings, bi-weekly supervision, and participate in Back to School Nights, school-based parenting presentations, and district in-service presentations.
    • Collaborate with the Prevention Coordinator regarding shared staff and school site issues.
  • Direct Service:
    • Provide Student Assistance Program individual and group services to students at assigned schools, ensuring parental permission and documentation completion.
    • Communicate with the supervisor and school personnel regarding cases of concern for student safety or well-being.
    • Provide SAP screenings and follow-up reports for assigned students.
    • Attend SAP meetings at assigned schools.
    • Present evidence-based Prevention program lessons in classrooms, administering pre and posttests as applicable.
    • Obtain and document a minimum of 12 training hours annually.
    • Attend agency meetings and supervisory sessions as required.
    • Complete weekly billing documentation accurately.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a social services or counseling field.
  • 5 years of experience providing behavioral health services to students in a school setting.
  • Ability to work in various school and office settings, sometimes sharing space with school staff.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to ensure coverage at parent/school events.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between schools and agency.
  • Willingness to schedule PTO usage to coincide with the school calendar.
