Job Summary

The Bottling Line Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the bottling line equipment operations, safety, and repair. Under minimal supervision, the position performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical and electrical duties to include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of bottling production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and operate all bottling line machinery, controls, and rebuild winery pumps.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of bottling line equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic industrial electricity, 110v, 220v, and 480v three-phase.
  • Familiar with repairs on all aspects of bottling, including labeling, corkier, screw cap, and rinser.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of compressors, dryers, boiler systems, and PLCs.
  • Welding skills, including stainless and aluminum.
  • Maintain bottling equipment, optimize throughput, and produce quality products.
  • Forklift experience.
Requirements
  • Available to work a rotating shift (AM & PM).
  • Effective communication with Supervisors, Line Workers, Cellar, Quality Assurance (QA), Senior Management, and Co-workers.
  • Report all parts used and needed for reordering.
  • Perform necessary change-over of bottling line machinery and equipment in a timely manner and oversee start-up after changeover.
  • Replace, repair, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment to keep the bottling line running efficiently and safely.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, swing, or graveyard shifts and extended hours as business dictates.
