Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Blue Moon Taphouse. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue, ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue, including inventory management and staff supervision.
  • Maintain a professional company image, including kitchen cleanliness and proper uniforms.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality of food.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, with supervisory or management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading a team, managing inventory, and controlling food costs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and move safely in the kitchen.
