About the Role

KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at the Palo Alto VAMC. As a Radiology Tech, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic imaging services to patients in a competent and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic imaging radiologic services in Radiography, in a competent and professional manner assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT and Radiologic examinations.
  • Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.
  • Work closely with radiologists, the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions.
Requirements
  • Must have a Certificate of Completion of Technologist training program accredited by an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the JCERT.
  • Must have a minimum of five years relevant clinical experience and a minimum of one year of general radiology in a level 1 hospital setting and proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months.
  • Prior VA experience is desirable.
  • Must have a current certification or registry in their respective sub-specialties by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
