As a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with pelvic health concerns, including pelvic pain, incontinence, and postpartum recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pelvic health concerns, utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to address pelvic floor dysfunction.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating biofeedback and pelvic floor muscle training to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic patient care and support.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and recovery.
- Stay current with advancements in pelvic health physical therapy through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- 6 months relevant experience
- Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification
- Additional continuing education in pelvic health, CAPP certification preferred
