Locum Tenens Hematology-Oncology Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Oncologist with a focus on Hematology to provide locum coverage for clinic operations. This role involves full-time hours from Monday to Friday, with no on-call responsibilities.
Reason for Coverage:
The need for this position arises from a recent resignation within the permanent staff, necessitating immediate and ongoing coverage.
Practice Details:
- Type of Practice: Outpatient
- Patient Demographics: Adult patients
- Patient Volume: Varies per clinic shift
- Specialty Focus: Approximately 30% Hematology and 70% Oncology
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Medical Oncology is mandatory.
- Preference for candidates who are also board-certified in Hematology.
- Minimum of two years of experience post-residency or fellowship.
Technology Utilized:
- EMR System: EPIC
- Chemotherapy Ordering System: Beacon
Interview Process:
Interviews will primarily be conducted via Zoom video calls, although traditional phone interviews can be arranged if necessary.
Important Note:
All confirmed providers must complete mandatory in-state fingerprinting prior to commencing work. This process is a requirement for obtaining privileges and is a billable expense to the client. Scheduling may present challenges due to facility availability and COVID-related restrictions. Orientation may be arranged to coincide with the fingerprinting visit to maximize productivity.
