Decorative Coatings Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Painter to join our team at Melton Design Build.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting painting and material finishing services for contracted projects, including providing start-to-finish in-house painting and wood finishing, painting support, touch-ups, and quality control services.

Key requirements include:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on painting experience in the construction industry.
• A strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• An ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical endurance and ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Applying various finishes to buildings, rooms, walls, ceilings, cabinetry, and other built structures and construction elements.
• Preparing, cleaning, masking, taping, and protecting areas for painting and material finishing.
• Mixing and applying paints, varnishes, stains, and sealants for a high-quality finish.
• Caulking, puttying, plastering, sanding, or repairing surfaces and materials.
• Painting and finish applications for interior and exterior building materials on residential and commercial projects.
• Adhering to workplace safety rules and maintaining a clean workspace.
