About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Care Assistant to join our team at Arkansas Children's, where we provide world-class care to children and families in need.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work as part of our dynamic healthcare team. As a Pediatric Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including vital signs and measurements, basic care, and activities of daily living.

You will also assist with ED/clinic visits, patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring seamless coordination between departments. In addition, you will help with customer service needs, providing exceptional support to patients and their families.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing patient care tasks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as delegated by licensed nursing staff.
  • Documenting patient care and other assignments according to department guidelines.
  • Assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge as directed by licensed staff.
  • Communicating patient/family information, specific needs, and requests to other healthcare team members to assist with individualizing the patient plan of care.
  • Acting as a courier between ancillary departments as needed to meet daily unit/department requirements.
  • Performing clerical duties such as serving as a receptionist, managing telephones, obtaining supplies, creating admission or informational packets, and other department-specific duties as needed.
  • Ensuring that patient supplies and equipment are organized, clean, and properly restocked for optimal cost-effectiveness and availability for patient care.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits and opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
