We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech PRN to join our team at Memorial Satilla Health. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing staff in providing excellent patient outcomes.

Job Summary

  • The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed nurse, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care.
  • This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • The PCT must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment, as well as move patients safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with mobility by regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients.
  • Obtains or assists in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
  • Serves as Monitor/Telemetry Tech for the unit as needed.
  • Engages in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • High School Graduate/GED at a minimum is required.
  • 1 year or more experience as a PCT or CNA is required.
