The Laundry Services Attendant is responsible for the efficient handling and processing of laundry within the establishment. This role involves the removal and segregation of soiled linens and garments from designated areas. The attendant will operate and oversee washing, drying, and dry cleaning equipment in compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Remove and sort soiled laundry from designated collection points.
2. Operate washing and drying machines, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines.
3. Treat stained items appropriately based on fabric type and stain characteristics.
4. Maintain accurate logs of laundry processed, including weight and load counts.
5. Transport cleaned items to drying areas and load them into dryers based on capacity.
6. Regularly clean lint traps and filters to ensure optimal machine performance.
7. Monitor chemical levels in dispensing units and report any issues to management.
Safety and Compliance
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents promptly. Participate in safety training and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Team Collaboration
Foster positive relationships with colleagues and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Address concerns of fellow team members with respect and consideration.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, and navigate various workspaces including stairs and uneven surfaces.
