Overview

FAS MART is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment, and supporting the sales and customer service efforts of our team.

Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service Superstar: Greet customers with a smile, offer assistance, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
  2. Sales Floor Guru: Maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
  3. Upselling Ace: Master the art of upselling and suggestive selling, enhancing the customer experience and contributing to our sales goals.
  4. Brand Ambassador Extraordinaire: Champion our brand by encouraging customers to join our loyalty rewards program and highlighting the exclusive benefits and personalized offers they can enjoy.
  5. Cash Handling Pro: Efficiently manage the cash register, handle transactions with a smile, and maintain accurate financial records.
  6. Safety Champion: Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
  7. Team Player: Collaborate with your colleagues to ensure smooth operations and provide support wherever needed.
  8. Facility Maintenance Expert: Take pride in maintaining a clean and inviting store, including cleaning restrooms, emptying trash bins, and refilling window washing stations.
  9. Environment Ambassador: Actively participate in keeping our outdoor space clean and welcoming, contributing to a positive environmental impact and a great customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21 years of age or older in certain states).
  • Availability: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Math Proficiency: Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
  • Personable and Positive: Friendly demeanor and a knack for making people feel welcome.
  • Detail-Oriented: Notice the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience.
  • Reliable and Responsible: Punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in your work.
  • Flexible: Adaptable and ready to take on a variety of tasks in our fast-paced environment.
  • Experience is a Plus: Previous experience in retail or customer service is appreciated, but not required.
