Job Summary:

The Meat Cutter - Fresh Meat Production Specialist is responsible for maintaining the desired level of fresh meat production, ensuring customer service, product quality, freshness, and selection. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to internal and external customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Meat Production: Maintain the desired level of fresh meat production, ensuring product quality, freshness, and selection.
• Department Maintenance: Ensure the meat department is clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to company standards and regulations.
• Inventory Management: Receive, store, and rotate inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate meat cutting equipment, including scales, knives, band saws, meat tenderizers, meat slicers, grinders, and bailers.
• Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Food Handlers Certification: Possess a valid food handlers certification, as required by state laws.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, move rapidly, bend, twist, and turn frequently, with occasional lifting of up to 80 pounds.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with the ability to compute weights and measures.
