Respiratory Therapist RRT Temp Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT Temp to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT Temp, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adults.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and treatments, and report any adverse reactions to physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in patient education and training to promote health and wellness.
Requirements:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT certification from the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
- Current Texas Respiratory Care License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- 1 year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a critical care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
- 1 year of experience in critical care, including but not limited to ER, ICU/CCU, PICU, and/or SCN (ICN).
- Knowledge and skilled in the use of personal computers and/or healthcare information technology.
- Knowledge of JCAHO and CAP/CLIA standards.
