Job ResponsibilitiesAbout the Burn Unit
- A close-knit team dedicated to high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Opportunity to work with a specialized patient demographic in a nurturing and educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical record evaluations to review and assess provider documentation, ensuring accurate representation of patient severity and health acuity.
- Perform prospective, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of various patient medical records across multiple settings.
- Provide guidance for ongoing provider coaching, training, and facilitation while adhering to policies and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
- Review, amend, and submit data for the ABA Burn Repository and ensure compliance for Burn Center Verification.
- Perform additional duties related to Burn Center data requirements as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 3 years of hospital experience; experience in Quality is advantageous.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, including pivot tables and basic statistics; familiarity with PowerPoint; understanding of Quality Improvement methodologies and team facilitation.
