We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working closely with our medical team to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures, taking into account their medical history and any physical limitations.
- Administer contrast media and medications as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities or concerns to the medical team.
- Ensure that all imaging equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in radiologic technology, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
