Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing antenna or radome hardware and requirements, working with interdisciplinary engineering teams, and interpreting simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop antenna or radome hardware and requirements
  • Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams, including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.
  • Work with antenna manufacturing suppliers
  • Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high-performance computing resources (HPC)
  • Interpret simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • Experience and/or coursework in programming and/or simulation experience in MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent language
  • Experience and/or coursework with the following:
  • Communication theory
  • RF and electromagnetic theory
  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASP
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Solid background and practical understanding of designing GPS antenna systems (to include experience or relevant course work)
  • Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work)
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high-level scientific programming languages
  • Proficiency with high-performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
