Job Title: Technical Web Optimization Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Web Optimization Manager to join our team. As a key member of our digital team, you will be responsible for optimizing our website's performance, ensuring it meets the highest standards of search engine optimization (SEO) and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of our website's codebase, ensuring it is maintainable, efficient, and optimized for search engines.
  • Work closely with our data team to analyze, report, and optimize SEO performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance our program.
  • Use SEO tools to monitor, analyze, and optimize search performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with our marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to implement SEO best practices and improve organic search performance.
  • Optimize website architecture, internal linking, and navigation to improve crawling and indexing for search engines.
  • Conduct detailed SEO audits to identify issues related to site speed, mobility, and other technical factors.
  • Work directly with and mentor developers on SEO best practices for implementation in coding and site architecture.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, updates, and best practices to ensure our website remains competitive and in good standing with search engines.
  • Monitor SEO performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven strategies.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of software development and the ability to effectively communicate with developers, engineering leaders, and product leaders.
  • SEO experience with a strong background in SEO content strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with performance optimization tools such as Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights.
  • Strong understanding of web development frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
  • Experience with structured data markup (e.g., JSON) and knowledge.
  • In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Experience in technical SEO elements including sitemaps, canonical tags, hreflang, and meta tags.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Evidence-based SEO methodology.
  • Familiarity with SEO practices for JavaScript frameworks.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of software development or technical web optimization, or a combination of 3+ years of software development and SEO experience.
