As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue. Your duties will include:
- Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Setting controls on the CT equipment, monitoring patient and equipment, and making adjustments as needed
- Assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media if necessary
- Dispensing oral contrast to patients for CT scans
- Assisting radiologists with interventional CT procedures
- Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images, and labeling them appropriately
- Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with clerical functions
- Charging procedures and supplies used to patient records
- Loading and operating power injections for contrast media administration
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Eighteen months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification
- Licensure in most states
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
