We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in thermal design to join our team at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, building, commissioning, and testing thermal management systems for military and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop thermal management solutions for a variety of real-world military and industrial environments.
- Develop mechanical designs that consider weight optimization, thermal performance, as well as structural stress and rigidity.
- Evaluate the integration of the engineering solution within the overall engineering environment.
- Communicate with engineering professionals, users, and management throughout the solution development cycle.
- Represent the company as a prime technical contact on contracts and/or projects.
- Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Progressive engineering experience with a minimum of six years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, four years of experience with a Master's degree, or two years of experience with a PhD.
- Experience developing thermal management solutions for a variety of real-world military and industrial environments.
- Experience with CAD tools (SOLIDWORKS, CREO, NX).
- Demonstrates expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice in the field of thermal analysis.
- A competitive salary range of $98,100 - $171,398.
- Relocation assistance provided.
