Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist serves as a vital member of the surgical team, providing support to surgeons and nurses during operative procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the RN with circulating duties, ensuring the smooth execution of interventions
* Scrubbing, setting up cases, passing instruments, and assisting the physician
* Collaborate with circulator, orderlies, and other room staff to perform post-case cleaning duties
* Cut suture material as directed by the surgeon and apply electrocautery to clamps on bleeders

Requirements

* Surgical technologists must graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or have comparable military training
* Possess good written and verbal skills, with the ability to work under pressure
* Demonstrate calm behavior and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work well with others and adhere to medical ethics
