Bloomberg is seeking an experienced Portfolio Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Portfolio Data team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our portfolio data assets.

The Portfolios Data team is responsible for the data management of over 110,000 Mutual Funds and ETF portfolios, as well as public portfolios such as government investment pools, Collateralized Loan Obligation and Institutional Investment Manager investment portfolios. You will work closely with subject matter authorities in Data, as well as colleagues in Product and Engineering, on roadmaps to improve data quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing data quality strategies and quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Performing data profiling and applying statistical methods to support data quality measurements.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of data quality as a domain of data management and proven ability to conduct data profiling and data analysis. Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark for analytical workflows and data on a terabyte scale is a plus.
