Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute is seeking a Programs Manager to oversee technical sub-award projects for our consortium members. If you have experience working with the Department of Defense and a passion for advanced manufacturing and robotics, this could be an exciting opportunity.

As a federally funded national institute, our mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of innovative robotics technologies. Reporting to the Director of Technology Initiatives, you will play a key role in our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of project outcomes.
  • Organize project resources and activities, monitoring progress against project deliverables.
  • Develop and implement verification-validation-qualification programs to ensure project execution and deliverables meet scope, quality, time, and cost requirements.
  • Actively monitor and forecast budget, deliverables, and evaluate outcomes of projects.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of planning, scheduling, and budget & risk for projects.
  • Measure and report on project performance along technical and logistic dimensions.
  • Act as first line of communication for sub-awardees, providing management guidance and engaging project investigators to develop mitigation plans when necessary.
  • Define and develop best practices, processes, and policy related to projects to ensure alignment with ARM's business strategies and goals.
  • Advise and support compliance of all aspects of program contracts and sub-awarded projects, including financial, deliverables, and milestones.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or physical science or similar field required. Master's Degree preferred. Demonstrated related experience may substitute for preferred education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design, integration, or test experience on a development or manufacturing program preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience desired. Licensed as PMP, PMI; or equivalent preferred.
