Job Description:

  • As an electrical engineer at Halff, you'll be responsible for planning and preparing engineered contract documentation for assigned projects. This includes working as an electrical project manager to meet deadlines, providing engineering decisions, and collaborating with other engineers, architects, and/or owners.
  • You'll also be responsible for multiple projects, which may consist of performing and scheduling work, materials, manpower, and information to ensure attainment of scope/project performance and construction schedules. This includes creating electrical project construction documents, plans, specifications, design analyses, and cost estimates for robust and reliable electrical system designs.
  • Your duties may also include on-site visits to collect existing condition information, attend meetings, respond to construction inquiries, and report on-site observations. You may need to conduct shop drawing reviews, respond to RFIs, resolve construction difficulties, and coordinate field installations as required for each project to meet deadlines and quality standards while adhering to ethical and efficient standard procedures.

About the Role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas or ability to obtain licensure through NCEES
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering in Federal Sector-related projects
  • Experience in lighting/lighting control, power design, and distribution of normal and emergency power systems
  • Familiarity with SKM Systems Analysis or ETAP software
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, and organization skills
  • Design-build experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with USACE and GSA-type clients
  • Ability to manage federal projects
