We are seeking an experienced and passionate software engineering leader who can lead a team of skilled engineers in developing innovative cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in distributed microservices, full stack systems, and cloud computing.
About the Role:
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and guide a team of developers to create scalable software applications using various programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions that meet those needs.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
- Work closely with digital product managers to deliver solutions that meet regulatory needs for the company.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and participate in internal & external technology communities to share knowledge and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- At least 2 years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
