Job Summary
As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist at MUSC Health & Medical University of SC, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory. This includes Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. You may be cross-trained into other areas in the department. Your responsibilities will include assuming responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and providing care to these patients through assessment, observation, and documentation. You will also perform other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.

Requirements
  • Graduate of state accredited school of radiology technology with current or pending registration or a graduate of state approved school of professional nursing, or a graduate of accredited echo/vascular school or licensed practical nursing with current or pending registration, or previous on-the-job training with documented experience
  • Previous experience in cardiovascular diagnostic testing
  • RVS/RDCS/RVT/ARDMS or equivalent preferred or eligible to test. Must have obtain approved certification within one year of hire. Current BLS
