Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and directing housekeeping staff to ensure a superior standard of cleanliness is consistently achieved throughout the hotel. This position is essential in delivering exceptional guest experiences through meticulous attention to detail and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise, mentor, and train housekeeping personnel in their daily tasks, including cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, and other areas.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms prior to occupancy to guarantee cleanliness and safety, maintaining detailed records of inspections.
  3. Implement and uphold service standards to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  4. Foster positive relationships with guests through genuine interactions, ensuring their preferences are recognized and accommodated.
  5. Promote teamwork by encouraging collaboration and maintaining a supportive work environment.
  6. Develop comprehensive knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and surroundings to assist guests effectively.
  7. Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all staff and guests.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  9. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring all areas are adequately stocked.
  10. Address and resolve guest complaints and housekeeping-related issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred. A minimum of one year of leadership experience in housekeeping, ideally within a hospitality environment, is required.

Skills:

Proficiency in basic office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with hotel management systems is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and carry items, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
