Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Travel CT Technologist to join our team. As a Travel CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness, and serving as a training resource.
Responsibilities:
* Perform CT diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols.
* Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
* Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
* Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
* Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
* Review tests with peers and physician.
* Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures.
* Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
* Prepare diagnostic information for physician patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed.
* Clean and sterilize equipment and work space.
* Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
* Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
* Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
* Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
* Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
* Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
* Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems.
* Call for service and notify all pertinent team members.
* Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
* Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years CT clinical experience required.
* Valid ARRT license, registered in CT.
* VIA experience a plus.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed.
* Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous responsible, professional and ethical manner.
* Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
* Ability to commute/relocate: United States: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred).
