Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Oswego Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Unit-specific orientation and completion of IV therapy, pharmacology, telemetry, ACLS, PALS, critical care, and PACU orientation within the first year of hire.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling beds, wheelchairs, and recliners in excess of approximately 200 pounds with assistance. The position also requires exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, and infectious/hazardous materials.
