About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Driver to join our team at Clean Harbors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of industrial cleaning and environmental services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vacuum trucks to transport and deliver industrial cleaning and environmental services to customers.
  • Ensure the safe and proper execution of jobs, including the operation of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from trucks, using special loading-related equipment as necessary.
  • Inventory and inspect fluids to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs.
  • Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A or B with X (Haz-mat and Tanker) endorsement and an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of one-year, verifiable vacuum truck service within the commercial trucking industry.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving fluids in the vacuum truck services in the oilfield industry.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge in the operation of equipment used in commercial transportation.
  • Excellent communications and human relations skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting transportation equipment is preferred.
