Oregon Pride in Business is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Expansion Advisory Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of LGBTQ+ businesses across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of ORPIB's expansion strategy and plans, providing insights and recommendations to ensure the organization's growth and sustainability.
  • Community Representation: Act as a liaison between local community stakeholders and the Board of Directors, facilitating connections between ORPIB and local businesses, government entities, and community organizations.
  • Resource Development: Assist in identifying and securing funding opportunities, including sponsorships, grants, and partnerships, and support the development of fundraising strategies and initiatives.
  • Program Development and Evaluation: Provide input on the creation and enhancement of programs that support LGBTQ+ businesses, and evaluate the effectiveness of ORPIB's programs and suggest improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Professional Experience: Significant experience in business, entrepreneurship, economic development, or a related field.
  • Community Involvement: Demonstrated commitment to the LGBTQ+ community and understanding of the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ businesses.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to long-term strategic planning and organizational growth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire various stakeholders.
  • Networking: Strong network within Oregon and/or Southwest Washington's business, government, and community sectors.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities and experience in advisory or board roles preferred.
Commitment:
  • Term: Advisory Board Members serve a two-year term, renewable upon mutual agreement.
  • Meetings: Attend monthly Advisory Board meetings and participate in additional meetings or events as needed.
  • Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per month, including meeting preparation and participation.
