The Therapy Patient Access Representative is a vital member of our team at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance. As a patient advocate, this role provides exceptional customer service and ensures that patients receive the best possible care by connecting them with our top-notch physicians and services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Therapy Orders: Receive and process therapy orders via the NextGen Task Basket.
- Patient Scheduling: Contact patients to schedule therapy appointments, review patient demographics and insurance information, and schedule appointments through NextGen.
- Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer service to patients, answering inbound calls, and responding to email communication in a timely and effective manner.
- Problem-Solving: Use critical thinking and expertise within TOA guidelines to find creative solutions for patients, even in complex situations.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other TOA roles and clinics to achieve goals and provide excellent patient care.
- Customer Service Skills: Provide excellent customer service and execute it on a daily basis, maintaining a professional and empathetic tone even in high-pressure situations.
- Organizational Skills: Be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple screens and systems.
- Technical Skills: Have a strong understanding of Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, and Office, and experience working with EMRs, such as NextGen.
- Education: A high school degree is required, with a college degree preferred.
