Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team at Launch Credit Union. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide regulatory research and technical assistance to ensure accurate interpretation of rules and regulations.
  2. Collaborate with In-House Counsel, Compliance Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
  3. Assess risk potential of current procedures and recommend new procedures to minimize risk and loss exposure.
  4. Analyze new and pending laws that will affect Launch's current operations and advise managers and applicable business units of updates.
  5. Complete testing to confirm compliance with state regulatory requirements and work with third parties to corroborate testing is completed to validate compliance with federal requirements.
  6. Collaborate with business leaders on compliance issues and validate appropriate changes/updates to operations have been made when applicable to conform with regulatory changes.
  7. Work with the Compliance team to ensure business units have properly responded to, and have an acceptable plan to address audit and exam findings.
  8. Prepare and provide regular training for newly hired employees and other Launch staff, particularly when any state or federal laws change.
  9. Assist with responding to auditor and regulatory requests and act as a point of contact for compliance-related questions.
  10. Update policies and procedures under the supervision of In-House Counsel, as needed, including forms and system input.
  11. Maintain current compliance knowledge by keeping abreast of regulatory changes to policies, practices, regulations, and laws.
  12. Assist with documentation gathering and preparation for internal department audits and regulatory examinations and other reviews, as necessary.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, or ability required.

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements).
  2. A minimum of three years of compliance/audit experience in a financial institution is required.
  3. NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) certification preferred.
  4. Ability to research, analyze information, and derive facts.
  5. Ability to retain a broad knowledge of credit union (financial institution) -related compliance knowledge.
  6. General knowledge of operations regulations, banking/credit union laws, and accounting practices.
  7. Ability to work autonomously, with minimal guidance.
  8. Ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of staff, members, and vendors.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
