Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Child Care Provider II to join our team at Salt Lake Community College. As a Child Care Provider II, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children while having fun and being creative in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality child care and guided learning experiences to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that promote learning and development.
  • Monitor the classroom and ensure the physical and emotional well-being of children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (or have an exemption from the Bureau of Child Care Licensing).
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to maintain active supervision of children.
  • Must pass a background check, physical, and TB screening.
  • Must be dependable and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Energetic and loving personality.
  • Fun and flexible attitude.
  • Coursework in early childhood education or related field.
  • Experience working with groups of children and babies.
