Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs.
* Give patients immunizations and injections as appropriate.
* Counsel patients on health-related issues.
* Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
* Coordinate referrals to other medical services.
* Secure consultations and specialists.
* Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages.
* Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing.
* Assist physician with med/surg procedures.
* Observe universal precautions.
* Maintain quality assurance for office lab.
* Observe proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
* Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine.

Requirements:

* Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
* Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
* At least one year of experience in a medical office environment.
* Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications.

* Office environment.

Physical Effort:

* Must be able to sit, stand, communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds.
