Job Overview

IWS, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive maintenance and repairs on automation machinery, conveyor systems, and various warehouse equipment, including electric forklifts and shrink wrap machines.
  • Address equipment malfunctions promptly, performing diagnostics and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks on all warehouse equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform general maintenance duties across the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, and office equipment.
  • Manage hazardous waste cleanup and ensure proper documentation.
  • Install, modify, and remove components of racking systems as required.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to facilitate timely repairs and installations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including material safety data sheets (SDS) and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Support the Environmental Health and Safety Program in relation to maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Assist with recycling initiatives and disposal programs for scrap metal and damaged pallets.
  • Monitor and report on equipment performance and maintenance metrics.
  • Utilize a work order management system to track tasks and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of experience in a maintenance technician role.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with automation systems.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified electrician.
  • Certified MHE repair (Crown, Raymond, Hyster, etc.).
  • Automation Installation technician.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, bend, walk, or stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, push, or pull objects as needed.
  • Willingness to work in various positions and environments.
  • Exposure to chemical, mechanical, or electrical hazards.
