Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN Job Description

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN to join our team. As a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology RN, you will provide high-quality patient care for medically complex patients, implementing treatment plans, providing education, triaging phone calls, monitoring lab results, and facilitating communication across settings and interprofessional roles.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans and provide education to patients and families
  • Triage phone calls and monitor lab results
  • Facilitate communication across settings and interprofessional roles
  • Assist with lab/procedural practice for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
Requirements:
  • Current RN license by applicable state requirements
  • Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
  • At least one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
