The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and executing various program capabilities for a variety of customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Directly supporting program management office in successful execution of all aspects of the program(s) including cost, schedule, procurement, integration, resource management
  • Working with technical leads to define and evaluate resources and schedule required to complete defined work
  • Participating in Make/Buy decisions
  • Participating in applicable IPT meetings to assure technical integration
  • Participating in review/preparation of variances, exceptions and/or waivers to requirements
  • Assisting the systems engineering team with requirements management to assess conflicts, gaps, and adequate flow down and decomposition of the program requirements
  • Participating in design/test/certification reviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of two (2) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and less than 2 years of direct engineering experience
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work in a team, and develop cooperative relationships
  • Ability to track multiple tasks and prioritize work independently
  • Self-motivation and quick learner to adapt to the broad array of subjects and issues encountered
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software tools, including Project and Visio
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Engineering experience/background or a desire to learn project engineering
  • Experience with supply chain management and ability to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirements
  • Have experience in mechanical manufacturing environments, testing, and/or product design
