About the Role

Astrion, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in supporting the Navy Division. As a key player in our growth and execution strategy, you will be responsible for participating in the review of accelerometer-based expendable penetrometer systems and acoustic telemetry systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with NAVFAC EXWC in the design, fabrication, test, delivery, and maintenance of XDP portable and rack mount shipsets.
  • Provide guidance and navigation control design and software solutions for undersea vehicles, including autonomous systems.
  • Participate in the review of accelerometer-based expendable penetrometer systems and acoustic telemetry systems necessary to transmit data.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in design and development of advanced equipment for use in the deep ocean.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in telemetry and controls, supervisory and automatic control systems, microprocessors, sensors, displays, and systems for processing acoustic surveillance array data.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in underwater electric field detection and measurement, safety, and related equipment.
  • Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret clearance based on a T5 investigation and deemed eligible for SCI access.
