Key Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of tasks associated with receiving, managing, labeling, preparing, displaying, and maintaining stock levels of resale items.
- Regularly operate electric, diesel, or gasoline-powered forklifts, and may engage in order writing tasks as directed by store management.
- Assess and allocate shelf space for different products and predict space needs for new items or increased quantities.

Receiving and Verification
- Accept deliveries of supplies, equipment, and various types of resale items in the designated receiving area.
- Confirm shipments by reviewing shipping documents, making necessary annotations, and identifying any visible spoilage, damage, overages, or shortages.

Operational Duties
- Utilize a computer system for pricing, calculating costs, and determining weights of merchandise.
- Maintain safety and organization while preparing, arranging, or stacking items, ensuring the rotation of older stock.

Physical Requirements
This position requires:
1. Continuous walking, standing, bending, or stooping, and using arms to fill shelves and counters.
2. Frequent lifting or moving of heavy boxes or crates, weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds.
3. Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions while operating a forklift, which requires moderate physical effort.

Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate specific knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to this position. Examples of qualifying experience include:
- Understanding stock turnover, shelf space allocation, and customer preferences.
- Familiarity with brand names and sizes of grocery items, as well as varieties of fresh produce to ensure proper handling.
- Knowledge of item locations to assist customers effectively.
