About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Teaching Professor in Accounting to join our team at the University of Minnesota. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction in Accounting and related fields.

Responsibilities
  • Teach multiple sections of Accounting I and II, as well as other Accounting classes and possibly courses in Finance.
  • Advise students and provide guidance on academic and career-related matters.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Enhance programs and student experiences, as well as employment opportunities, through innovative teaching and service.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and work collaboratively with faculty colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality teaching and instruction in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and faculty colleagues.
  • Commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • College teaching experience and a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with computer-based instructional technology and online learning platforms.
  • Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
