About the PositionWe are seeking a highly qualified Teaching Professor in Accounting to join our team at the University of Minnesota. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction in Accounting and related fields.
Responsibilities- Teach multiple sections of Accounting I and II, as well as other Accounting classes and possibly courses in Finance.
- Advise students and provide guidance on academic and career-related matters.
- Participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- Enhance programs and student experiences, as well as employment opportunities, through innovative teaching and service.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and work collaboratively with faculty colleagues.
- Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality teaching and instruction in a variety of settings.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and faculty colleagues.
- Commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.
- Doctorate degree in Accounting or a related field.
- College teaching experience and a proven track record of success.
- Familiarity with computer-based instructional technology and online learning platforms.
- Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
