Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist PRN to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions to help them perform daily tasks.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment programs to minimize physical disabilities and pain.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Document all treatments and submit accurate charges for services rendered.
  • Supervise COTAs, students, and volunteers to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current or temporary licensure in the state of West Virginia or applicable state licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in the setting of the open position.
Working Environment

As an Occupational Therapist PRN at WVU Medicine, you will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and different types of cleaning and laundry chemicals.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize time and tasks to achieve a well-coordinated work effort.
