Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner with a passion for rural healthcare.
  • Experience in a primary care environment is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a primary care team of seven members.

Role Summary

In alignment with hospital bylaws and physician supervision guidelines, the Nurse Practitioner will conduct advanced nursing evaluations, clinical assessments, medication management, and patient follow-up care. This role also involves educating patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and address health promotion and disease prevention needs of the community while delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate consultations and referrals.
  • Guide nursing and support staff in patient care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, manage ongoing medication therapy, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding preventive health measures and medical treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with established standards.
  • Integrate new knowledge from professional development into clinical practice.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Must meet educational criteria for ARNP licensure in the state of practice.

Experience and Credentials

  • Required: Nurse Practitioner licensure in the relevant state.
  • Required: Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
  • Required: Valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
  • Required upon hire: Basic Life Support certification.
  • Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
