Job Summary

The Spa Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the spa. As the first point of contact for guests, this individual must possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a keen eye for detail. Key responsibilities include answering phones, booking appointments, checking guests in and out, and completing shift reports and paperwork accurately. Additionally, the Spa Receptionist must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of spa treatments, products, and services, and be able to communicate this information to guests in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries
  • Book appointments and manage guest schedules
  • Check guests in and out of the spa
  • Complete shift reports and paperwork accurately
  • Provide exceptional guest service and ensure a positive experience
  • Upsell spa services and products to increase revenue
  • Assist guests with retail product selections and educate them on correct use
  • Monitor the spa's POS system and ensure accurate transactions
  • Proactively monitor the spa's operations to prevent problems and guest complaints
  • Participate in meetings to discuss and share pertinent information with spa management
  • Communicate effectively with management and pass on pertinent information regarding the facility, associates, guests, supplies/repairs needed, and other relevant information

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • 2 years college or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year employment in a spa/salon environment
  • Retail experience a plus
  • Superior sense of organization, control, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to express self in a professional, clear, and concise fashion
  • Present a polished, impeccable appearance and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
  • Preferred spa knowledge and computer knowledge
  • Oral and written proficiency in the English language
  • Constant standing, sitting, listening, reading, and speaking
  • Constantly using wrist motion, dexterity, eye/hand coordination, writing
  • Physically able to stand, bend, lean, and walk for up to 10 hours. Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
