Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Lathe Operator to contribute to our diverse manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities
The role involves a variety of tasks associated with operating lathe machinery, performing secondary operations, and conducting quality inspections as necessary. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting blueprints and understanding tolerances.
  • Completing and comprehending all Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts within the designated area.
  • Executing machine setups with minimal assistance from the Team Leader.
  • Meeting production targets for the assigned work area.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance on machinery as per Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) guidelines.
  • Demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Advanced reading of prints, including geometric tolerances, finish specifications, and true positioning.
  • Coordinating with Quality Assurance on first piece approvals as required.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in machining and related controls.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
