We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Support Specialist to become an integral part of our clinical team at a Nephrology practice. This role involves essential responsibilities such as patient triage, documenting medical histories, and preparing examination rooms.
Salary Range: $18.00/hr. – $20.00/hr.Location: Clear Lake
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Document patients' medical histories, vital signs, and significant information including test outcomes.
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Communicate treatment plans, medication instructions, and dietary guidelines to patients and their families.
- Assist with in-office procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Ability to travel to a secondary location as needed (mileage reimbursement available).
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical assisting role or similar healthcare environment.
- Consistent work schedule with no weekend shifts, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
