Middle School Special Education Instructor

SIGNING BONUS UP TO $2,500 Foundations, a Member of The Point Quest Group, is seeking a Special Education Instructor for Middle School 7th and 8th Grades in a Resource setting.

Position Overview:
The role involves instructing students in activities aimed at fostering learning concepts, acquiring essential skills, and developing positive attitudes that contribute to their growth as capable, mature, and responsible individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
(Additional duties may be assigned)
1. Develops a tailored program of study that caters to the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
2. Creates a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
3. Guides the educational process towards achieving curriculum goals and sets clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
4. Utilizes instructional methods and materials that are most suitable for meeting established objectives.5. Regularly assesses student learning mastery and provides progress reports as necessary.
6. Diagnoses learning disabilities in students consistently, seeking assistance from district specialists when needed.
7. Engages in regular consultations with colleagues, students, and/or parents.
8. Aids administration in enforcing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct in the classroom; formulates reasonable classroom behavior rules and maintains order fairly and justly.
9. Participates in extracurricular activities as required.Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited four-year college or university.
2. A valid and current Arizona Teaching Certificate.
3. Valid Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance card.
4. Special Education Certification.
