Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Frisco. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality surgical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major surgical procedures.
- You will work closely with our surgical team to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- As a Surgical Technician, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
- You will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments.
- Additionally, you will participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an operating room environment is desired.
- Certified as an Operating Surgical Technologist required.
- BLS required.
