About the Role

Harrison Consulting Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Specialist to lead our Columbus team. This individual will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for various projects, including Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education, and Laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive designs for HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct advanced heating and cooling load calculations using Trace/HAP software.
  • Identify sequences of operations for AHU's, CHW, and HW systems.
  • Create detailed sections and elevations of complex ductwork and piping areas, equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases, and air and water flows.
  • Edit specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in completing RFIs for projects and review submittals.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality documentation using proper scope for SD, DD, and CD level documents.
  • Meet with contractors during the bid phase to review design details.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, ranging from $120,000 to over $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and background.
